author : voidzzz | category : Windows, Windows Vista.after updating your windows vista installation with sp1, you might notice that your hard drive free space has significantly decreased. this happened because when you install vista sp1, windows will automatically save your old system files in case some day later you would like to revert to your old version of vista .
follow the easiest step by step below to remove those junk files. but before you do, please note that by doing so, windows will lost its capability to revert back to windows vista version earlier than sp1.
- run command prompt by doing the following :
Start > All Programs > Accessories > right click Command Prompt > Run as Administrator - in command prompt window, type in :
vsp1cln.exe and press enter
the process might take a few minutes. i manage to clean 4 GB of free disk space with this method.
