How To Export Active Directory User to CSV File

Posted on November 23, 2008 by voidzzz

sometimes it’s a pain in the *ss when you have to list all your user manually in Windows Server Active Directory.
I’ll show you how to easily export active directory users and computers to csv file so that you can open and edit the list easily with microsoft excel (or other programs).

launch command prompt at your active directory server and issue the following command :

csvde -f domain.csv -r (objectclass=user) -l "sn,givenname,department,mail"

change the value within -l “…..” to fit your needs. the command will take attributes from Active Directory data that fit your request within -l “….”
